Arun Krishna Dhan is a skilled and experienced attorney who brings in an extensive and unique touch of hands-on experience in both transactional and litigation practice. In 2005, he represented India in the  Philip C. Jessup   International Law Moot Court Competition , Washington D.C.
Arun has extensive knowledge and experience in structuring projects, drafting, negotiating, vetting various contracts and litigation practice in civil, commercial and arbitration matters. With almost a decade of professional expertise, Arun has advised and represented several  Multinational and Fortune 500 Companies  in matters related to Private Equity, Joint Venture Transactions, Cross-Border Transactions, Project Finance, Strategic Investments etc. 
He has assisted in numerous infrastructure projections in sectors ranging from power, oil & gas to railways, ports and airports in  India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh . Likewise, he has provided professional legal assistance to a consortium of foreign and domestic lenders including US EXIM, China EXIM, China Development Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Industrial Development Bank of India, State Bank of India, Asian Development Bank, etc. 
Arun has also advised the  Planning Commission of India  concerning the drafting of Model Concession Agreements for development of public and private partnerships in various sector-specific projects etc.

  • Provided advisory assistance to major players in the Coal, Oil and Natural Gas sector including Cairn India Limited, Bharat Oman Refineries Limited,  HPCL-Mittal Energy Limited (HMEL) (an affiliate of HPCL & L.N Mittal Group), ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals Limited, ONGC Petro additions Limited, GMR Kamalanga Energy Limited

  • Rendered legal advice to a consortium of foreign and domestic lenders concerning the financing of Power Projects, the development of coal mines, exploration and production of Coal Bed Methane (CBM) etc., including US EXIM, China EXIM, China Development Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Industrial Development Bank of India,  State Bank of India, Asian Development Bank, etc.

  • Advised a Consortium in its bid for setting up of 3600 MW Sasan Ultra Mega Power Project, Reviewed Request for Qualification and Proposal, Reviewed Bidding Procedure, Participated in pre-bid conferencesCommented on the draft Power Purchase Agreement, Escrow Agreements and other project documentation.

  • Rendered advice in connection with security documentation in relation to offshore credit facilities and loan facilities with sovereign guarantees respectively - Cairn Energy Hydrocarbons Limited and Delhi Mumbai Infrastructure Corridor Development Corporation.

  • Advised in connection with bids for inland waterway projects and investment in International Strictly Private container terminals respectively - FRS International Holding GmbH and PSA International

  • Aided and advised in connection with drafting and negotiations of vital contractual agreements, license agreements, bulk cargo agreements and concession agreements relating to its multifarious operations - Gujarat Maritime Board

  • Additionally, he has also advised, in relation to terms and conditions for setting up of projects and the agreements proposed to be entered with respect to the awarded solar projects, under the Gujarat Solar Policy Moser Baer Clean Energy Limited
